Young God Records

Michael Gira, long-time frontman of the now-defunct Swans, runs Young God to put out various and sundry projects he's involved with, Swans re-releases, and other miscellanea.

The Angels of Light
Formerly of the seminal band Swans, writer and misanthrope Michael Gira configures whispers and plaintive moans to guide us through the mindscape of someone without the luxury of psychic harmony. Utilizing sonorous and rich instrumentation, Gira and companions create fantastic atmospheres of tonality to immerse the listener in trances that are periodically broken by Gira's striking and desolate utterances.

New Mother - 1999

David Coulter
Master didjeridoo player and former Pogues member Dave Coulter creates serious, meditative, occasionally playful multi-instrumental compositions that at times suggest Indian classical music, Southeast Asian folk, and Native American and Aboriginal music, while retaining their own unique, richly textured identity.

INterVENTION - 2000

Windsor for the Derby
Melodic sound experimentation with a Germanic flair and a Tortoise-like penchant for building drama. In the crowded post-rock scene, Windsor for the Derby stands tall.

Difference and Repetition - 1999
