Too Pure

Since 1989, London-based Too Pure Records has been releasing great music that's not easily categorized. From their earliest releases (by such musical luminaries as Th' Faith Healers, Stereolab, and PJ Harvey) to their most recent forays into creative drum and bass (Bows), Too Pure continues to prove that good music comes in a variety of shapes, sizes, and permutations.

In the U.S., much of Too Pure's catalogue is distributed by Beggars Banquet.

Bows
Bows' dark, introspective arrangements of reverberating guitars and strings, drum and bass beats, and dreamy ethereal keyboards, combined with beyond-the-stars female vocals and throaty male incantations conjure the magic of empty, rain-drenched city streets at three a.m.

Blush - 1999

Hefner
Full of sass and swagger meant only to mask their real feelings, Hefner infuse their pop songs with wry comments about the nature of modern life, love, and the way the game is played.

The Fidelity Wars - 1999
Boxing Hefner - 2000
Dead Media - 2001

Mclusky
This straightforward rock trio blasts through amps and speakers, mocking you, mocking themselves, and mocking the music industry with a fierce combination of catchy noise and ironic lyrics.
