Sugarshack Records
The name of the label actually stems from the moniker given to Mike "Sugar Ray" Raymond's place by cohort Two Tone in the early '90s. This was due to the fact that Mike's place was a focal point for Vancouver hip hop, playing host to many a late night beatmix session. The SugarShack became a well-known Vancouver spot where hip hop artists could actually practice or refine their music. Soon, Raymond began recording, and the label became official in 1992.
