Statra Recordings

Statra Recordings is a Brooklyn-based electronic music label run by Dave Tomaselli and Co. The label released the critically acclaimed and deep house lovers dream project Harry the Bastard Presents Club H in 1999. This put the label on the radar screen and set the stage for the release of Paradigm Shift, a compilation of up-and-coming electronic artists exploring the varying textures of abstract and experimental electronic music. Paradigm Shift is more of a head-trip and less dancefloor oriented than Harry the Bastard Presents Club H. Both releases have proven that Statra Recordings will be a force to reckon with in the coming years.

Harry The Bastard
As import buyer at Watts Distribution for over a decade, host of the exclusive "Club H" parties at his Chelsea flat, and notorious party animal to boot, Harry The Bastard is perhaps the ultimate house music connoisseur. Club H is a session at Harry's house for your headphones.

Lypid
Spacey electronic renderings of romantic caresses. Unique sounds both disconcerting and soothing. These are the tidings from Lypid, a New York trio of musical impressionists coaxing organic human emotions from sterile machinery.

Denver McCarthy
New Zealander Denver McCarthy makes spine-tingling techno that harks back to the golden years of Detroit masters Juan Atkins, Kevin Saunderson, and Derrick May. This is raw electro-inspired techno for both the dance floor and the headphones.
