Slowdime Records
Slowdime Records originated in 1996 with the intent to document the new
inclinations and innovations that began to surface within the Washinhgton
D.C. independent music scene. With help from a vital music label named
Dischord, responsible for over one hundred recordings from the same area Slowdime has received the proper guidance.
Abilene
Slow, fluid, heavy, and simple. That's the way this Chicago trio featuring former members of Regulatorwatts and Lustre King prefers to go about their rock, and the results are moodily elegant.

All Scars
Members of Fugazi, the Meta-matics, Beefeater and Fidelity Jones explode and explore with an extravaganza of beautifully orchestrated mayhem and punk rock soul and free jazz chops. Intelligent yet belligerent.

Bluetip
From the fertile musical grounds of Washington, D.C., Bluetip brings the rock old-school style, mixing manic energy, ringing guitars, and nonstop pounding drums into a pungent punk concoction.

The Boom
Two parts funk, one part blues, this eclectic smattering of styles isn't exactly what you'd expect. With creative juices stirring from the likes of Fred Erskine (June of '44) The Boom are definitely stepping beyond the bounds of genres.
Any Day of the Night
Canyon
Energetic indie rockers reinventing themselves as sad-eyed folkies? Not sure what to expect? Expect the very best. Canyon delivers lovingly rendered, introspective, rootsy songs that map out the fault lines of the heart.

The Farewell Bend
Crafty Polvo-ish guitars and strained yet catchy vocals bring The Farewell Bend to that deja vu spot of your brain that insists that it's heard something this good before even if it never has.
In Passing
Golden
Golden is a brilliant collection of musicians who know how to take an idea, a sound, a beat, and a few guitars, and draw you into a simple, growing, thriving tonality that synchronizes with itself to create an orgiastic experience of elastic instrumental bliss.

Hoover
This classic Dischord Records band reconvenes in the studio to record some unfinished business! We all thought these songs were lost forever with the band's breakup in 1994. Members of Hoover later went on to play in bands such as June of 44, The Crownhate Ruin, and Regulatorwatts.

The Most Secret Method
Spazmatic guitar and explosions with a complete disregard for safety bring The Most Secret Method to the dashboard of a crash test with the blinding speed of a backseat child not strapped in. Elegant and frenetic, quiet, pensive, and a slow burning fuse - TMSM harnesses the power of a Chernobyl meltdown.

Pines of Nowhere
Pines of Nowhere are kicking down the doors of mediocrity and gagging the unsuspecting masses with mouthfuls of snotty Brit-style punk. This music is courtesy of a group of DC scenesters, including one member of Trans Am.
Pines of Nowhere
Regulatorwatts
A brief, yet bright spark in the DC music scene, with a somewhat similar sound to guitarist/vocalist Alex Dunham's first band Hoover, Regulatorwatts explores its many moods from teeth clenching rock to gloomy sound explorations
The Aesthetics of No-Drag
The Sorts
A mixture of dub, jazz, funk, and math from DC, The Sorts hail from the brains of ex-members of Hoover and Rain Like the Sound of Trains. Original and evasive, confining these guys to any one adjective is a crime.
