Another outstanding band from the fertile Washington, DC independent music scene, but this one's a little different from any you've heard before. El Guapo mines the great punk tradition of the nation's capital as well as the revelatory musical experiments of avant-garde jazz composers like Anthony Braxton and Albert Ayler to produce indescribably strange and wonderful collisions of sounds.
