Leaf Recordings

Based in Vancouver, Leaf Recordings is a deep house label par excellence. Founded in San Francisco in '97 by DJ Buck, the label has showcased the work of San Francisco's Rasoul, Jay-J Hernandez, and Chris Lum, Los Angeles' Doc Martin, and Buck himself. If one label truly sums up the West Coast house sound, it is Leaf Recordings.

Buck (U.S.)
Storming deep-club-house from a San Francisco giant who prefers to stay behind the scenes. Buck's philosophy behind his Leaf imprint is of the "less is more" variety, so while releases are spread out, you can guarantee their quality.

Laj and Quakerman
Organic house is the specialty of Laj and Quakerman, the Idjut Boys affiliates who released their debut full-length Fat Cow in '99 on Fiasco. As their releases are few and far between this is a major coup for Buck's highly revered Leaf Recordings imprint.
