Grand Central Records
Grand Central was formed in '95 by hip hop DJ and producer Mark Rae (of Rae & Christian). With initial releases from Tony D, First Priority (Rae & Christian), and Aim, the label has since grown to incorporate artists such as Funky Fresh Few, Riton, Only Child, and Fingathing. Widely respected as the label for interesting and creative beats, Grand Central continues to grow with pioneering new acts.
Fingathing
A musical duo crafting surprising sounds out of two turntables and one double bass, Manchester's Fingathing use their impressive pedigrees (one's a DMC Mix champ discovered by Mark Rae, the other a classically trained bassist) to fuse stoner-rock, jazz, and anything else they can find into their own uniquely mangled hip hop aesthetic.
