Elephanthaus Records
Chicago's Elephanthaus started life as a clothing label in '93, morphing into a label in '97. Elephanthaus has two principle producers, label boss Tim Baker and Primate's Murat, who have perfected the art of textured techno. Baker also runs a house label, Real Estate Records.
Tim Baker
Chicago tech-meister Tim Baker is both a world class DJ and an accomplished producer. His tough, compressed techno can be found on an array of established labels, including his own Real Estate and Elephanthaus imprints.

Murat
Murat makes minimal compressed techno a la Cari Lekebusch, Adam Beyer, and Joel Mull. His ferocious forays into the darkside have appeared on labels Method, Primate, and Elephanthaus.
