Brique Rouge
Brique Rouge is an up-and-coming house label based in Paris, France. Label bosses David Duriez and Ludovic Llorca record for a number of other French labels including F Communications and Toulhouse, as well as 20:20 Vision in the U.K. and Afterhours in the U.S. The label boasts releases from the likes of Mazi (Afterhours), Yann Fontaine (Expanded Soul), and Neon Lights (Jinxx Records). Brique Rouge provides the best in deep, swirling house a la Svek, Guidance, and Seasons.
Dan Balis
Brooklyn's Dan Balis made his debut on French label-of-choice Brique Rouge in 2000. Since then, his swanky retro house has been the mainstay of avant-garde house and downtempo players worldwide.
David Duriez
If you thought French house was limited to kitschy disco-licking artists like Daft Punk, Alex Gopher, and Stardust, then you are much mistaken. David Duriez is one of a new breed of French producers making sophisticated and mature house music. Welcome to the deep side.
