Classical

Though batted around somewhat indiscriminately, the term "classical" generally applies to orchestral, chamber music, or opera in the European tradition of the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Of course, many contemporary artists continue to make "classical" music or use "classical" elements toward other ends, so the word has become more of a description than a specific musical genre.
