A quintessentially London sound, 2-Step (otherwise known as U.K. garage) fuses the urban attitude of hardcore and jungle with the soul and pace of garage and house. The staple diet of pirate radio stations across London, the sound was pioneered in the mid to late '90s by the likes of Grant Nelson and his Nice 'n' Ripe crew, Tuff Jam, and Dreem Team and is being pushed forward by rising stars MJ Cole, The Artful Dodger, and The Streets.
