This year marks the 14th anniversary of the Annual Pickathon Indie Roots Music Festival. The three-day festival is held on the 80 acre Pendarvis Farms located just on the outskirts of Portland, Oregon. The festival hosts an array of artists ranging from indie pop, to folk rock and to blues grass troupes that give the festival it's name. This years headliners are contrived of indie power houses Neko Case, Dr. Dog, Blitzen Trapper, and 43 other acts. 

With 6 stages, three unique beer gards, and other local, organic food vendors spread across the lush meadow and forest like camp grounds there is not a lot to not love about this festival. The festival carries a strong theme of sustainability with many forms of eco friendly transportation and camping options. Last years festival was the first to eliminate the use of plastic plates, cups, and other utensils. 

If your on the west coast this August this is a festival you definitely shouldn't miss.
