The Detroit Electronic Music Festival, better known as Movement in recent years, is a staple festival for fans of all styles of electronic music. The festival is suitably located in the birthplace of techno, but caters to fans of genres ranging from jungle to hip hop to house. Movement is largely credited with helping to keep house music traditions alive in Detroit and on a grander scale throughout the U.S. The festival is curated by Detroit-based production company Paxahau, who is credited with helping to keep the festival alive in recent years of financial falter.
