I think I've developed an affinity for Broadway. This weekend, I was lucky to witness La Soiree, a circus cabaret show at the Riverfront Theater in Chicago. With a male acrobat pole dancer, a fully nude female magician, and a plump cross dresser singing opera, it was quite a racy show for a Sunday afternoon.

The most unforgettable feature amongst the bendy performers was surprisingly the music. A booming opera performance of Creep by Radiohead dramatized an otherwise simple and overplayed tune. The accompaniment of beer in the outdoor beer garden on a perfectly sunny, clear day wasn't so bad either.  To end on a cheesy pun, it was certainly a swank soiree.
