Forbes published its list of the most powerful people in the world last week. The top seventy -- aptly dubbed "70 Who Matter" -- contains six women. Six. Four politicians, the head of the IMF, and the editor at the New York Times.

Their names are:

Angela Merkel -- Chancellor of Germany
Sonia Ghandi -- A politician so powerful she's turned down presidency... twice
Dilma Rousseff -- President of Brazil
Hillary Clinton -- 'nuff said
Christine Langarde -- Took over the International Monetary Fund after the Strauss-Kahn fiasco
Jill Abramson -- Executive Editor of the New York Times

This list feels incomprehensibly small to me.
