Last Saturday, the members of hip-hop supergroup Deltron 3030 debuted a new track from their long-awaited second album, Deltron Event II, following their radical self-titled debut in 2000.

Deltron 3030 is made up of Del the Funky Homosapien (MC, member of Hieroglyphics Crew, cousin to Ice Cube), Dan the Automator (producer of Kool Keith's Dr. Octagonecologyst, Gorillaz's Gorillaz), and Kid Koala (turntablist from The Slew and Lovage, graphic novelist).

From the sound of the new track, Deltron Event II will build upon the narrative established in Deltron 3030, a hip-hop opera chronicling the story of rebel solider/intergalactic MC Deltron Zero in the year 3030. The first album is a visionary concept album featuring digital sci-fi beats and a gritty space theme established through inventive lyrics and clever sampling.

And now, after years of delays and hangups, Deltron Event II appears to be slated for a definite release sometime in the Spring of this year. Time to get stoked. To celebrate, here's a bunch of music from Deltron and the Deltron guys's other projects. Seriously, get stoked. The world might not be ready for this one...
