As I've spent the past month reading Alan Moore's graphic novel From Hell, I've found myself listening to more eerie and sinister songs that make me think of 19th Century Freemasonry and the twisted mind of Jack the Ripper. Dark and scary? Yes, I know. Though no one better captures the full grit of true grit than mighty ol' Sir Waits.  I've also included other tracks that recreate the good ol' stench, rawness, and industrialism of cities during their smoggiest, most hellish days....I also threw in a few Medieval metal jams just because I wanted to. (I know it has nothing to do the the above mentioned, though every playlist could use some Medieval power metal!)
