Uniform Choice
Cargo Music
Uniform Choice was one of the first post-Minor Threat bands to begin calling themselves "straight-edge," and they played a role in bringing that scene together in Orange County. Their sound draws fairly heavily from D.C. hardcore, but it's a little catchier, incorporating a fair amount of New Wave bounce (sometimes they even sound a bit like Duran Duran) and a touch of the '80s hairspray rock sound. The song "A Wish to Dream" comes from their '88 full-length, Staring into the Sun.
