While other DJs insist on sticking their fingers into as many pies as possible, Tyler 'T-Bone' Stadius sticks to what he knows best, the art of DJing. His highly palatable tech-house fusion has been the staple diet of Vancouver's underground community for over ten years. He has booked and played with all the greats, including the Murk boys, Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, King Britt, Marques Wyatt, Kevin Yost, Terry Francis -- the list goes on and on. In addition to his numerous Canadian and North American gigs, Stadius has made many trips across the pond to play at The Rex in Paris and Bar Rhumba, Wiggle, and Fabric in London.

In '94, Stadius founded Bassix, Vancouver's premier record store. In '97 he teamed up with Nordic Trax label boss Luke McKeehan to open SONAR, Vancouver's busiest all-purpose dance club. Then, in '99, he released the mix CD Necessary Pieces, to the delight of dance music pundits across the globe. The CD explored the realms of deep house and techno with contributions by artists such as Dino & Terry, High Fidelity, and Peter Hecher. The '00 follow-up, Necessary Pieces 2, built on the theme with mind-bending tracks from Ben Nevile, Gavin Froome, Deja Vu, and Sunkissed. For a peek inside the mind of Canada's leading tech-house DJ, stream the entire mix below.
