The Jealous Sound
Better Looking Records
Fans of the late great Knapsack will instantly recognize singer Blair Shehan's raspy swallowed-shards-of-broken-glass voice and earnestly entreating delivery when they listen to The Jealous Sound. For this new project, Shehan has joined forces with Sunday's Best guitarist Pedro Benito, Ten Foot Pole drummer Tony Palermo, and Neither Trumpets Nor Drums bassist John McGinnis to create sweetly aching power pop songs that are neat but not over-polished. The Jealous Sound's music is made to be heard on the radio: these scrumptious post-teen angst sing-alongs will get stuck in your head for weeks.
"Anxious Arms" and "What's Wrong is Everywhere" both come from The Jealous Sound's five-song debut EP on Better Looking Records.
