Starometska are an animated whirlwind of wires and shrieks. The songs abound with disconnected vignettes of schizophrenic glamour, snippets torn from Bartok fused with the atonality of Glenn Branca, Starometska seek to put forth infuriated dirges and haunting elegiac spirituals of instrumental fervor.
With a pared-down approach of only two guitars, Starometska is a musical kinship between brethren Matt Robison and Scott Bilby (ex-Dead Spy and Ginsu). Their song "Thiefcatcher" is a musical tribute to Hong Kong film actress Maggie Cheung. Look for an upcoming release from these lads.
