Songs Of Green Pheasant is the solo project of Duncan Sumpner, a singer-songwriter from the outskirts of Sheffield, England. He released his self-titled début album through FatCat in 2005 and followed it up with an album a year for the label until 2007's epic Gyllyng Street. In 2012, after a five-year hiatus, Sumpner returned with Soft Wounds for the Irish label Rusted Rail.
