Nectar
Worship Recordings
Los Angeles is fast becoming the breeding ground for West Coast house talent. Adam Tenenbaum (aka Nectar) is the newest name on a prolific list of L.A. producers that includes Doc Martin, Chris Penny, J.T. Donaldson, and Lance DeSardi. Tenenbaum first surfaced on Garth's Grayhound Recordings with the dub house classic, An Orange EP. The tracks on the single were rotated by the likes of Laurent Garnier, Chris Duckenfield, and Murray Richardson, prompting Rob Paine to license a few tracks for Worship. "Bloodgrass" (which also comes with a Divine Conception "Re-blessing") and "Moj Aniol" (which also comes with a "Happiness Re-blessing") are featured on Nectar's debut EP for Worship. The swirling synths, dubby bass lines, and echoed FX would sound at home at one of San Francisco's notorious Wicked parties.
