Low Skies

Low Skies came together as many young men do, in the big city. With Chicago as the backdrop, Low Skies shaped their shadowy origins into album form on The Bed. Released in 2003 by upstart local Flameshovel Records, The Bed is about old old souls and the stories they tell. If Nick Cave grew up more vulnerable and Hank Sr. died with a few indie rock CDs in his collection, the Low Skies sound might have been created sooner.

Christopher Salveter and Jason Creps founded the group in 2000 and recorded a self-released EP. They put together a solid band in 2001 with a collection of like-minded peers representing Texas, Minnesota, North Dakota, and Missouri. Heavy and sullen, Low Skies have stories to tell and souls to steal.
