The Lijadu Sisters

The Lijadu Sisters began their career in the 1970s in their home country of Nigeria. They are the second cousins of Fela Kuti, and former members of Salt, the Afrorock group formed by Cream's drummer Ginger Baker. They moved to New York City to pursue herbal medicine. Knitting Factory Records decided to re-release their four albums in 2011 and 2012.
