Inlantic was formed in the summer of 1997 when its members began experimenting with different techniques of keyboard and percussion instrumentation. Soon after, the arrival of the final member of this Normal, IL trio added an '80s synth influence and unique guitar style. The result is captured in this full-length debut that seeks to refocus rock. Inlantic's intelligent compositions combined with quality musicianship beget nine tracks of instrumental bliss that suggests Trans Am. Inlantic is taking music into the future like many of their cross-state Chicago peers. Bands such as the The Sorts and Tortoise might also appear in the same dog show as Inlantic, but they are a different breed.
