Influenced by childhood nautical adventures in the remote Scottish islands, Duncan Poyser began Good Shepherd in 2005. 'The Good Shepherd' is, in fact, the trusty digital 8-track on which Poyser records, named in memory of the boat he rode to Fair Isle aged sixteen. On it he records acoustic, instrumental folk with a sea-worthy edge and psychedelic undertones. Shrouded in haze and touched by gentle shafts of sunlight, his work thus far is summed up on the Rusted Rail mini album Ah... Good The Sea.
