Fingertwister is the project of Swedish producer Daniel Skantze. The Fingertwister sound is characterized by dubby elements like warm bass sounds and offbeat chords, but also by ambient textures and detailed breakbeat-style drum programming. Fingertwister tempos usually clock in at less than 120 BPM. Fingertwister also explores drum and bass.

Skantze has been musically inclined since picking up his first sax at age nine. He has played in different bands of various styles, ranging from jazz to pop and experimental rock. While saxophone is his main instrument, he also sometimes plays the guitar, piano, and the trumpet. Occasionally he uses acoustic instruments in his electronic music.

Skantze's interest in electronic music developed slowly through the years. In 1996, he began to making his own electronic music in earnest. Fingertwister is currently unsigned.
