Fellowship

Darren Hickey has been an instrumental figure in the drum and bass scene since day one. He runs the two successful drum and bass imprints -- Juice and Splash -- with his brother Jeff and drum and bass heavyweight Daz (aka Undercover Agent). His recordings with Daz as M.T.S. were huge hits with hard-step players across the board. He has also recorded as Wayward Sound with singer/songwriter Joe Roberts for Test Records in the U.K. and Sm:)e in the U.S.

Hickey developed the Fellowship moniker as an outlet for his more melodic drum and bass productions. His debut release came out in '96 on the xpressive label. In '98, Fabio licensed "Mombasa/Quartz" for Creative Source, and in '99, Moving Shadow released "Interchange/Muthafunker." The same year, "Resistance" and "Delusions" were released on Boston's Phuturistic Bluez. While "Resistance" treads a course through darker drum and bass territory, "Delusions" employs a playful, jazzy vibe.
