Dubital
Suite Inc.

Dubital fuses dancehall, downtempo, and reggae with the atmospheric dimensions of dub to form a sound that is truly their own. Originally formed in 1993 as a dub interpretation of a dancehall production, the groups first demos were actually created exclusively for the use of local DJs. They have worked with international acts like Zion Train, Twilight Circus, and Mad Professor, the legendary founder and producer of the highly acclaimed Ariwa sound label. The group's live shows are a true multimedia experience involving sceneographic elements, video staging, and two mixers applying dub theory live on stage. Definitely not just experimentation for experimentation's sake, Dubital manages to tinker with dub's more traditional sound without drifting to far away from the music's basic aesthetic. The group's latest release Conversations is right up the alley of fans of Alpha e Omega, Vibronics, and of course the mad genius that is Lee "Scratch" Perry.
