Arborvitae

A friend flippantly described DMS while walking by the CD player as "Super Nintendo music when you get to the end and to the final tower when everything gets all intense." Does the track on the group's Arborvitae CD entitled "Pitfall Harry Meets His Match" actually refer to the old Atari game of swinging from vines and walking on alligators? The sequenced keyboards do create a nervous and stark repetition, repeating in an almost endless loop. Lo-fi bedroom-programmed electronics with some pretty great live drumming join in to propel the DMS toward a less trance-inducing state. It's sorta like a MIDI Herbie Hancock or a virtual Trans Am song-making program. Minimal and kind of silly sometimes, but it's fun to see what Mister DMS can do.
