Compound Recordings
DJ Flux, along with his partner in crime DJ Rinse, has been throwing parties under the B.A.S.S Kru banner since day one in his local San Francisco. In '98, with Kaos (Synthetics Productions) and DJ Rinse, he opened the doors of Compound Records, the first all drum and bass record store on the West Coast. The store soon sprouted a label, Compound Recordings, to showcase the production of Bay Area drum and bass talent.
"Crackhead" and "Ransack," both released on Compound Recordings, utilize rough and tough two-step breaks, corrosive synth loops, and complex snare patterns. DJ Flux takes West Coast production to the next level with "Bangkok Split" and "Stop Thief."
