Comet Gain
Kill Rock Stars

Comet Gain might be the quintessential Kill Rock Stars band today; their cocktail of riot grrl punk and '60s psych rock has become one of the signatures of the classic Olympia, WA label. Founded in Britain by singer/guitaristDavid Feck, singer Sarah Bleach, drummer Phil Sutton, bassist Jax Coombes, and guitarist Sam Pluck in 1993, Comet Gain soon began to release albums on Wiiija Records. In 1997 after two albums, everyone except David Feck abandoned the band to perform as Velocette, leaving him to reform the band on its new home KRS with 1999's Tigertown Pictures. With 2002's Realistes, Comet Gain perfectly captures the Kill Rock Stars sound, thanks to appearances from Chris Appelgren (The Pattern, PeeChees) on drums and Kathleen Hanna (Bikini Kill) on vocals.
