The music of Beirut is largely the talent of Zach Condon, a New Mexico native. Although he has also formed a full band which usually ranges from six to ten people. He mixes a number of styles including pop, gypsy, indie folk, and lo-fi experimental. The multi-instrumentalist began making his own D.I.Y. recordings in his home in his teens, but has since become one of the most unexpected indie success stories.
