B-Boy 3000

B-Boy 3000 is widely known as the original L.A. Junglist, spinning jungle (under the moniker R.A.W.) in the early days of its conception, circa 1992. His DJ skills are unmatched in the drum and bass community, with national DJ championships and a plethora of successful mixtapes under his belt as proof.

As the story often goes in the DJ realm, B-Boy 3000 became infected with the production bug after a few years of DJing. With releases on his own imprint, Mictlan Records, he honed his signature sound of over-the-top bass tones, aggressive drums, hip hop- and ragga-influenced vocals and b-boy chops and breaks. B-Boy 3000 continues to set the pace for the future of U.S. drum and bass while keeping the old-school jungle feeling alive with his 12-inch release on Thermal Recordings. His trademark sound is captured in the tune "Warrior," with its choppy b-boy cuts, heavy bass and a dubbed-out ragga influence.
