Armchair Martian is a high-energy, road-weary, punk rock trio based out of Fort Collins, Colorado. Their sound is steeped in a brew of broken barstools and broken hearts. These three have found a sound that teeters between two classic power rock bands of the '80s: Midwestern post-punk greats Husker Du, and the other is country alternative rock legends Uncle Tupelo. From the guitar sound, to the vocals, to the songwriting, Armchair Martian seems to sway from one of these influences to another in a quite moody fashion. They also thrive on a West Coast punk energy that keep them energetic and fresh. Full of lightning-charged heartache, Hang On, Ted is a true piece of genuine rock music.
