While the Pharcyde got all the glory for West Coast hip hop in the early '90s, the Freestyle Fellowship gained a cult-like status among hip hop heads, revealing itself to only the truest of believers with obscure mix tapes, college radio airplay, the occasional Rebirth comp, and the legends and lore of the underground.
