Postmarked Stamps Compilation
No series of singles has attempted or achieved such an encapsulation of time and moment as the Postmarked Stamps Series on Tree Records. In hindsight, it seems cleverly plotted to guarantee successful presentation of the most exemplary musical innovators and pioneers. At the time, the aim was much simpler: to release nine seven-inch records dedicated to long distance lovers (and decorated with real stamps). Many of the singles sold out within a week of their release. So to keep the collector scum at bay, Tree decided to compile all nine singles onto one convenient format.
The Postmarked Stamps Series CD contains every Postmarked seven-inch single released, which includes the following artists:
